Babs has successfully used a community engagement approach for supporting the development of organizations and boards for over 25 years. She has worked for a variety of non-governmental agencies, businesses, and the public sector, including most recently for public libraries in Ontario, Saskatchewan and B.C. She brings a people and community focus perspective to strategic planning, facilitating forums and dialogues, and with building strong stakeholder partnerships, communications, and participation. She has extensive experience in governance and is currently a board director with PACE Society and with the Douglas College Board of Governors. She enjoys bringing people together to have conversations that matter and result in purposeful actions and desired outcomes. For her, BCLTA is the perfect place to do this work!
Jan has served as the administrative assistant for Heritage BC for more than 25 years, ably supporting this not-for-profit organization to deliver annual and regional conferences, annual general meetings, newsletters, website, and government advocacy activities to a province-wide membership.
