| Provincial governmentAdvocacy Opportunity for BC Library BoardsThe Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services -- a bi-partisan body empowered to hold province-wide public consultations and make recommendations on the next provincial budget -- is once again holding hearings throughout the province. The Committee’s annual budget consultations provide a unique opportunity for library boards to present ideas on next year's provincial budget. Your board can participate by making a written submission, completing an on-line survey or presenting at a community public hearing. The deadline for all public input is Friday, October 17, 2014.
